The tour begins at Vidigal's plaza, the entrance to the neighborhood, where you will meet a local guide and learn about the fascinating history of Vidigal. At risk of being bulldozed by the municipal government, a papal visit from Pope John Paul II in 1980 saved this hipster community! Then, you will take a mototaxi to the highest point of the hill and appreciate one of the best views in all of Rio! After, you will explore the Ecological Park Sitiê, a community space for leisure, environmental awareness and education. You can enjoy the panoramic views the community enjoys from various points as you make your way down the hill. Appreciate unique graffiti art as you stroll through the streets. Finally, you will finish your experience where you started at the bottom of the hill.
